Natural gas is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non corrosive. Its main component is methane, and it also contains a certain amount of ethane, propane, and heavy hydrocarbons. There are also small amounts of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and sulfides. In addition, moisture was also found in the natural gas pipeline. Compared with other petrochemical fuels, natural gas emits only a small amount of carbon dioxide dust and trace amounts of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides during combustion, making it a clean energy source.

Natural gas is a mixture composed of multiple components. The composition of natural gas refers to the components contained in natural gas and their corresponding contents within a detectable range. The composition commonly referred to in testing refers to the content of hydrocarbon components such as methane and ethane, as well as common non hydrocarbon components such as N2 and CO2 in natural gas. Although natural gas still contains impurities such as sulfides and water, these components are not detected in composition analysis unless otherwise specified. In the component analysis of commercial natural gas, due to the relatively stable composition, only simple analysis (also known as conventional analysis) is required for the hydrocarbon components from Cl to C6.

3、 Scope of application of natural gas analyzer

4、 Preparation work before installation

(1) Studio and Workbench: There should be no flammable or explosive gases, strong electromagnetic fields, or electrical spark interference around the studio, and good ventilation is required indoors; Prepare a workbench that can withstand the entire set of instruments, leaving appropriate gaps behind the instruments for work and maintenance. (2) Power supply: The instrument uses a 220V50HZ AC power supply, and the input power of the power supply must be greater than the power consumption of the instrument; The power wiring board should have reliable contact; When the power supply voltage fluctuates greatly, a 3-5KW voltage regulator should be used to stabilize the voltage in a timely manner, otherwise the performance of the instrument cannot be guaranteed.
(3) Ground wire: To ensure the performance of the instrument and personal safety, the instrument must be reliably connected to the ground. It is recommended to bury the ground wire with a copper mesh or copper plate in wet soil below one meter deep. It is not allowed to use a power supply neutral wire instead of the ground wire, and it is not allowed to be connected to a water pipe or radiator.
(4) High purity hydrogen gas must be used for power and gas pipelines. Hydrogen gas should be supplied by high-pressure steel cylinders or hydrogen generators. The output pressure requirement for the gas source pressure reducing valve of this instrument is: hydrogen gas: 0.3MPa.
